Passport is required for tourist and/or business stays of up to 90 days. South Africans who will travel to Spain should apply for a Schengen visa in advance. Countries coming from Schengen areas can travel to Spain easier through a schengen visa. Member countries include Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Iceland, Italy, Luxembourg, The Netherlands, Norway, Portugal and Sweden. Non- EU citizens must present a return ticket. All foreign travelers to France may be asked to present a proof of financial means for the duration of their stay in Spain.
