The most common sports played in the Philippines and gained much popularity is basketball and boxing. Almost every corner in the Philippines you'll get to see basketball court as it is the favorite past time of Filipino men. Boxing has gained so much attention from Filipinos proving that they really are good at it. Filipino boxers like "Flash Elorde and Manny "Pacman" Paquiao are just few of the boxers who have become champion in the international boxing arena. Other than that, baseball, volleyball, soccer, swimming and track and field are among the popular sports in the Philippines.

Philippines also have its own set of traditional games, it is commonly called "Laro ng Lahi". An interesting game called "Palosebo" for one is an exciting game. Participants race to get a flaglet from a tall bamboo post with oil spread all over. There are a lot of fun games played during fiestas or other celebrations.
