Passport and Visa

A Philippine Visa is a seal of approval to enter the Philippines. It will be issued by a consular office or at a Philippine Embassy Consulate abroad. Visa serves as a request permission from the Philippine Immigration authorities at the ports of entry. Any traveler is subjected to the jurisdiction of the immigration authorities mandated to spurn any questionable admission to the Philippines. Thus, a visa however may not be a guarantee that the holder will be automatically admitted into the country.

Except for stateless persons and those countries with which the Philippines has no diplomatic relations, all travelers either for business or tourism purposes with valid passports may enter the country without visas and may stay for 21 days provided they have tickets for onward journey.
