French people love the leisure of having a walk in parks, jog, eat their lunch or to simply relax with wine and cheese. There are numerous parks and gardens in France to visit and meet people.

Below is a list of some popular parks and gardens in France.

1. Le Bois de Boulogne
This is Paris' largest park and is known to Parisians as "Le Bois." This park is great for jogging, rowing, strolling and picnics.

2. Le Bois de Vincennes
Located at the eastern side of Paris, this park is a favorite place of French families. There are zoos, museums, royal chateau, lakes and a flower garden known as "Foire du Trune."

3. Jardin Atlantique
This park opened in 1994 and boasts of different kinds of trees and plants from countries in the Atlantic Ocean.

4. Parc Andre Citroen
This park has a lot of beautiful botanical gardens, fountains, waterfalls, pools, and sculptures.

5. Jardin du Palais Royal
This park is surrounded by elegant arcades. This garden was very popular during the Revolutionary period. Contemporary sculptures can also be found in this jardin.
