There are a number of opportunities for foreigners who want to work or teach in France. Seasonal jobs are available for people who are planning to work in France while on holiday. These seasonal jobs include opportunities in hotels and restaurants, markets, tutorials and agricultural jobs. Foreign workers can inquire details about seasonal jobs in France by contacting the Regional Youth Information Centres (CRIJ).

For full time jobs, a well written CV is always necessary. There is now also a great demand for English teachers in France.

People who come from countries which are members of the European Union and the European Economic Area as well as Swiss citizens can legally work in France. Foreigners outside of EU must obtain a work permit, autorisation de travail to work legally in France. A visa de long sejour and carte de sejour are also necessary.
