Passport and Visa

A passport is required to enter France. A visa may be required for foreign visitors to France depending on your nationality, the length of your stay and the purpose of your trip.

A Schengen visa gives travelers the opportunity to travel freely throughout a Schengen zone. The United Kingdom is not a part of the Schengen member countries which means that a British visa will not give the holder a right of easy entry to France.

For security reasons, travelers who are to bring children to France must provide documents as evidence of relationship and legal permission from the child's parents if legal guardian or parents are not present.
For a detailed information regarding visa requirements in France, please contact the nearest French embassy in your country.
